Steve Davis – 6 times World Snooker Champion: Davis achieved a remarkable milestone at last season’s UK Championship by reaching his 100th major final. He continues to disprove the theory that snooker players can’t compete at the top of the sport beyond their late 30s – the Nugget celebrates his 50th birthday in August 2007 and is still firmly entrenched within the top 16.
He attributed his surge of form at the York Barbican Centre (UK Championship) – he described his performance against Stephen Maguire as perhaps the best of his career – to a technical change inspired by the SightRight method of alignment advocated by Stephen Feeney. (see www.worldsnooker.com)
